The effect of comprehensive sensory stimulation to the brain function recovery of patients with brain damage

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose: This study is performed to examine how the comprehensive sensory stimulation effects to the patients with brain damage.
Method: The subjects of this study are selected as 7 persons of experimental group and 7 person of control group. The experimental group has been provided with comprehensive sensory stimulation twice a day for 4 weeks and the control group has been provided with general interventional nursing without comprehensive sensory stimulation treatment, followed by investigation and measurement of GCS, RLA and SRI. Collected data was analysed using SPPS/WIN 12.0 in regard to general characteristics and every characteristics for the disease.
Results: are summarized as follows:
1) Hypothesis 1,2,3 were not supported
2) The result of analysing for differences of GCS score variation after providing the experimental group with interventional treatment was statistically significant.
3) The result of analysing differences of RLA score variation after providing the experimental group with interventional treatment was statistically significant.
3) The result of analysing the differences of SRI score variation after providing the experimental group with interventional treatment was statistically significant.
In conclusion: comprehensive sensory stimulation program can be a effective interventional treatment in clinic, because the GCS, RLA and SRI score were appeared significant through the result of GCS, RLA and SRI score test before intervention, and after the first intervention, telogen, and the second intervention with comprehensive sensory stimulation program. Therefore, it is proposed that continuing study for the effect of sensory stimulation is necessary.
